Z29? I guess z28 was already taken

Inspired by the Komen drive and thanks to the awesome website autospies I did some research in upcoming BMW models.

This one looks oddly enough, a LOT like the new Lexus IS. Take a peek for yourself.

New z8

Continuing the theme of new BMW stuff coming out.

Here is something CLAIMING to be the new z8. COME ON!! while this may be great is bears utterly no relation to the previous (and awesome looking) z8. Ya gotta have a new name for this one.

Of course it should be absolutely smoking and the same price as a house.

Monster Lexus

Lexus creates a serious M3/RS4 competitor? it seems to be true. big v8. small lexus. sounds good to me. I liked the IS when we drove it during the pre launch driving event so I think this one would work out pretty well.

Jake the Snake roberts...Update

FLW Outdoors

Woke up a little early and the FSN was still the channel on TV from watching the rangers/FC dallas last night.. and the first thing on was a fishing competition. And look who is a pro fisher now.. Former WWF (NOT WWE) wrestler Jake "the Snake" Roberts. He seems to have less teeth than I remember.

this is so many levels beyond nerdy. ok start with this guy is an engineer that loves music and dance.. ok now lets say we add to that he makes a suit that converts his dance moves INTO music.. now lets add that he decides to make an ONLINE simulation of his dance/music suit..

The intro to the site take a little while, but it is worth it for the comdey value.

Robosapien RS Media gets new Lego Mindstorm NXT brain

Filed under:

If you're looking to delve a little deeper into the world of robotics, but don't exactly have the time or soldering skills to build your own, you'll be glad to know that you'll be able to hack away at your lovable Robosapien RS Media using Lego's Mindstorm NXT system. Thanks to Robosapien designer Mark Tilden's affinity for Legos, the Mindstorm brain fits perfectly into the bot's backpack, allowing you to program a host of new movements into its already robust and customizable repertoire. We suggest you start with something easy like dancing then move your way up to teaching your Robo to destroy the evil imposter, Robone. The source link goes on to mention a few other interesting projects being worked on at Wowwee headquarters, including a four-foot, Segway wheel toting Robosapien model with voice technology and an internet connection, as well as a robotic spider and dragonfly. It all sounds very exciting to us, and we, for one, would like to welcome our new robot overlords (beat you to it).

sony using demo ware for creating website ads...

Apple logo appears on PlayStation 3 site

Filed under:

So if you hadn't already heard, when you hit the Sony PlayStation 3 home page you're greeted with the usual requisite promo animation... and a momentary flash of the Apple logo (highlighted above). Seriously. Go check it out if you don't believe us. So, what's the deal? Well, our first inclination would be that it's either a mistake, some misplaced watermark, or the designer who put this thing up was probably about to get fired so s/he decided to have a little fun. Trust us though, we definitely would put it past Sony to be all sly and leave us some clue about a possible Apple video game partnership -- that just ain't happening at this point. We'll let you know as we learn more, but we doubt there's any current cause for alarm; especially since our videogame lovin' sister site Joystiq gave Sony's PR peeps a call, and they were as surprised to discover this as we were.

[Thanks to everyone who sent this in]

Update: So from the sound of it Occam's razor strikes again. Looks like that logo flashes when you author using a trial version of Apple's Shake. So basically from what we can ascertain, Sony (or its ad agency) is too cheap to buy their people the full version of Shake, which goes for $500 list on Apple's site. Tisk, tisk!
